Hello my Dears!
For the past week I've been travelling the world a bit and I fell in love with a piece of it.
Together with my family we decided to go on a trip to Barcelona, the city between mountains and sea. I get asked a lot, if I had to choose a city with rough relief or the one near the water and the answer to that question was always 'both'. The city of Barcelona is just that definition of 'both' that I had in mind.
Besides being perfect with it's surrounding nature, the capital is also full of unique background such as art, museums and interesting architecture buildings. With things like that, you never get bored in Barcelona, because there's always something to see, something to explore.
On the topic of exploring, let me tell you that I did just that. Of course I had to go and check out the famous la Sagrada Familia and the power of this sight blew me away. I felt to small yet so amazing when standing next to this masterpiece and I can easily say that I'm not the only one who feels this way about spectacular buildings.
Besides being blown away by the famous sight, I also visited various kinds of art museums : Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya , Picasso museum and Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA). Being the person, who adores art, I really enjoyed taking a look on famous paintings, sculptures and other exhibitions. Sadly, I didn't have a chance to go inside the National Art Museum, but the outside of the building had me shook for the rest of the day. I was shook to that point where I started to get emotional, don't ask me why or how, I just did.
To be honest, I prefer cities where you can find remains of older cultures and decades that represent the art of what it's famous for. That's what I like about Barcelona, you can easily go out, have fun and dance all night long at the clubs, but there's also loads of places where you'll find yourself being taken away by art and vintage architecture.
The title of this post really translates on how I feel about the city of Barcelona, because I truly enjoyed every minute there. And if you're looking for a new destination to travel to, I would highly recommend adding the capital to your list of places to visit.
All the Love!
